How We Are Funded

La Ola Ministries/The Wave is is a non-profit, interdenominational corporation legally constituted under U.S. law 501(c)(3).

It operates in Mexico as La Ola de Jalisco, A.C., legally registered with the Mexican government We are wholly supported by private donations and all donations are tax-deductible. We have a board of directors which meets once a quarter to make sure that our work is conducted legally, ethically, and morally and who sets priorities for the way the funds given to us by God and our donors are used. We have an independent auditor and monthly and yearly financial records are kept. Any gifts designated for a specific purpose are used 100 % for that purpose. A financial statement is available upon request so that you can see how the funds are spent.

The president, officers and board members of this organization do not receive any salary and are strictly voluntary. Some of the mission staff receive outside support, others work totally voluntarily.

This ministry is God’s ministry. It does not belong to Bob or Becky Plinke or any other group of people. We wish to be stewards accountable to God and to our donors.

This is our commitment to you:

  • All contributions will be used as designated by you, the donor.

  • We will never try to raise more money than is needed.

  • Receipts and thanks are sent quickly for all gifts.

  • Our books are audited annually by an outside accounting firm.

  • Financial statements are available upon request.

  • Budgets are set up and approved by our board of directors

  • We will continue to maintain our debt free status.

  • We will maintain minimal administrative costs.
